As soon as his simple house-palace in the southern façade of the Monastery of Yuste was finished, Charles set off for the last miles of his travelling life between the castle of the Counts of Oropesa, in Jarandilla, and his final resting place in Yuste. A quiet and short trip to the place where he died in 1557.
