Principal: Description Upon his arrival at Tazones from Flanders to take possession of the peninsular kingdoms, Charles came into contact for the first time with the land of his Spanish ancestors. His first trip in the Iberian Peninsula took him to Asturias, Cantabria and Castile, ending at the town of Tordesillas (where his mother Joanna of Castile lived) and the village of Mojados (where he met his brother and sister Ferdinand and Eleanor). It was his first big state voyage, and the one that reunited him with his Castilian family.
